NITROUS OXIDE ADMINISTRATION
Course Information
This program is taught by a practicing Dentist who will show you the latest equipment and methods of nitrous oxide administration in the dental office. You will benefit from an update on the pharmacology of nitrous oxide, medical considerations, and management of complications.
Academy for Dental Assisting Careers' 10-hour course of didactic instruction and clinical experience will fulfill the Colorado State Board of Dentistry rules for Nitrous Oxide Administration.
A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the course.

Who Should Attend
Current Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants who want to administer and monitor nitrous oxide in dental practices as well as Dentists who are looking for a refresher course.
Instructors
Dr. David Jackson received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa in 1992 and has practiced dentistry in Boulder County ever since. He has used nitrous oxide sedation to reduce anxiety in both children and adults since the inception of his practice. He is past president of the Boulder County Dental Society and continues to serve annually as a delegate to the Colorado Dental Association.
Dr. Robert Ahern received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 1990 and has practiced dentistry in Boulder County since 1992. Dr. Ahern is the owner of Longmont Dental Associates and has used nitrous oxide sedation to reduce anxiety in both children and adults since the inception of his practice. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Boulder County Dental Society, and the Boulder Dental Forum.
