CPR/AED

CPR Course

Courses in CPR are administered by trained professionals and/or Emergency Medical Technicians who hold certifications through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and the State of Colorado instructor through the American Heart Association.  These classes include instruction on the use of an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim in the event of cardiac arrest.  The certificate of CPR/AED for a professional rescuer/healthcare provider is valid for 2 years.  

 

INSTRUCTOR - David Yarwood

David has been instructing First Aid & CPR for individuals and Professional Rescuers for over 25 years.  He has worked in the Emergency Services Field as an advanced EMT/Firefighter for over 34 years and 20 years as a paramedic.   Specific areas including Search and Rescue, specializing in Auto Extrication, technical rescue specialist for confined space, high and low angle rope rescue for the mountains and trenches.

David has also been on the Colorado Task Force for 15 years, 1 year under FEMA and has responded to 7 disasters in the US.  He has also been a fire investigator for 7 years.
