Graduates receive certificates in dental assisting and dental radiology, specific to Colorado and usually non-transferable to other states. We utilize the Colorado Dental Association dental radiology training. Students can also pursue the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification, which is a separate process. These certifications prepare you to start your dental assisting career in Colorado.
Transcript/CertificateFinancial Hold Exemption Policy DateAdopted: July 22, 2024DateRevised: N/A A. Purpose This policy is in response to Colorado HB22-1049 B. Scope This policy applies to all current and former students, excluding foreign students as defined in C.R.S. 23-1-113.5., who have an outstanding debt for tuition, registration fees, textbook, dental supply costs or other financial aid fundsowed to the Academy for Dental Assisting Careers and request a transcript or certificate. This policy also describes when a student may be subject to a registration hold. C. Policy 1. Individuals may be subject to a transcript or certificate(s) hold when such individual owes certain debts to the Academy forDental Assisting Careers for tuition, registration fees, textbook and dental supply costs or financial aid funds. Individuals will be subject to such a hold when full tuition costs of$3,250.00 is not paid within 90 days of last day of enrolled eight (8) week session. If an individual is subject to such ahold, their transcripts and certificates will not be released unless an exemption applies as outlined in Section 2 of this policy. 2. Exemptions are granted for individuals who can demonstrate that the transcript/certificate request is required for one of the following reasons: A. Job ApplicationB. Transferring to another post secondary institution C. Applying for state, federal or institutional financial aidD. Pursuit of opportunities in the military or national guard. E. Pursuit of other post secondary opportunities 3. Process and Procedure for Exemptions: Upon submission of a transcript/certificate request and documentation to verify an exemption, the Academy for DentalAssisting Careers will review the request and make a determination regarding whether or not an exemption exists, as outlined in section 2, above. If it is determined that the individual has avalid exemption, the Academy for Dental Assisting Careers will release therequested transcript/certifications. Ifthe Academy for Dental Assisting Careers determines that the individual doesnot meet the exemption criteria, the school will provide a written explanationof the denial of the request within seven (7) business days. 4. Registration Holds: Individuals will no longerbe able to register or enroll for future courses/classes if the total amount of$3250.00 is not paid in full direct to Academy forDental Assisting Careers. 5. Individuals have theoption to establish a payment plan for an outstanding debt.
